I am going to put new 20 inch staggered wheels and tires on my GT500.  I had settled on the Shelby CS40 chrome wheels, but then I saw the Alcoa Super Snake wheels and got confused again (Doesn't take much)!

Which do you like better?

I originally wanted the alcoas... They were continuously on back order ..  4-6 months to get.. Then I saw the cs40's. I liked those too.. It was going to be a while for those. I got my funds in Jan 09 to get some wheels and tires.. I ended up with the Alcoas. They were in stock. Bought them from Quantum Performance in Dallas. The tires came from Discount tire in Tyler..  I bought tps sensors from newtakeoff.com .

Everything was installed by beginning of Feb 09.. Love them.. The say Shelby Forged instead of Shelby Super Snake...

The Alcoas look elegant, long and lean and not to busy, while the CS40's are aggressive with a lot of sharp angles.  Both beautiful.

I dont want to be a copy cat, but  I sure am leaning towards the Alcoas.  I am going to call Quantum and see what the price and timeline is.

Thanks for the heads-up on the sensors.  Was there any issues with the TPS?  Did you have to sinc the sensors with the monitor?

Now that is one good looking Black Beauty!  The Alcoas really compliment.

Did you buy the pre-drilled lower grille or did you drill it yourself?

There were no problems with them.. Just had to program them.. Go thru the steps.. Discount tire helped me with that.. Quantum tried to charge me shipping but finally backed off... Just 499 for each rim. I also had to buy bands for the sensors from Discount Tire and went with some new lugs.. Dont forget to get the center caps for the alcoas.

Yes, we do.  Eat ,movies, shopping and such.  I do the MOET meetings and try to get to some of the regional shows when time permits.  Took my dad to the Harvey Convention Center for the car and cycle show this past weekend.

I want to get more involved in local stuff but my part time job has really gotten in the way.  The wife and I commited ourselves to over 9 national shows.  We do the manufacturers rep thing for Thoroughbred Motorsports and Motor Trike (World Of Wheels, Sturgis, Americade, Daytona Beach, Wing Ding, etc.).  And to top it off, the wife got us NASCAR season tickets in Bristol TN, for March and again in August.  Retirement is supposed to be restfull, isn't it?!?

We leave this Monday for the World Of Wheels in Detroit.  I'll be taking the mistress to Silers Paint and Body that morning and leave it with them.  They are going to paint and install the new Ford GT/CS scoops, paint install the Foose side window scoops and install the painted side mirror inserts.

Geesh. I didn't mean to write a book.  I believe it was you that mentioned another group that gets together in the Tyler area ocassionally.  I would like to hear more when I get back.

Take care.

PS.  Thanks again for the heads-up on the Alcoa wheels.  I have Tony of Quantum Performance working on it.  I told him I could get everything (wheels, tires, chrome valves, chrome lug nuts, chrome locking lug nuts, mounted and balanced, including taxes) for $2600.00.  Did not include the TPS sensors and bands.

Found a guy in Dallas that was selling staggered chrome CS40's off his black on black 2010 GT500.  Got'em for half what retails guys want.  They have 10 miles on'em and are in mint condition.  He told me the bright chrome did not work well with black.  He is going for the Alcoas or machined look Shelby wheels.

I'll post new pic's of The Mistress as soon as I get the new wheels and tires on her.

Finally, some pics.  I am computer challenged, especially when it comes to attaching pics, so bare with me.  How do I attach multiple pic's?  Oh well.  I'll do'em one at a time.

I hope so, but with it being Easter, I think we have family plans already.
