I've got an 04 Cobra and have been seriously looking into changing my entire exhaust other than the headers, but maybe those as well later, i'm looking for any kind of input i could get from y'all about the best sounding exhausts and well as brands and who may have the best pricing.

Exhaust systems are a very personal thing of what you want your car to sound/perform like, so you will get a million opinions. That being said, I personally like the MagnaFlow systems. When you are cruising, their systems have the old school muscle car sound that I like with out being raspy and have a drone that other systems like Flowmaster has. But when you get on it, the exhaust gets pretty loud. Several MOET members have run the MagnaFlow systems on their Cobras and GTs. The best thing to do is find a Cobra/GT with different exhaust systems and take a ride in them to see what fits your needs. Good luck. :D

I also like the Magnaflow sound, I allso like the flowmaster 40 delta's that I have on my 99GT I don't care for the standard flows but like above it is a very personal tast. You have to audition them almost like a set of speakers.

My GT has BBK shorty headers, a Mac O/R X-pipe and Borla Race mufflers with 3 1/2" tips. Chad put it all on before we swapped cars, but I totally love it! It was a little more raspy before the headers were put on, but mellowed out with the headers. You can hear it coming for sure :D

my most recent thoughts (and probably my best yet lol) have been something like the MAC Prochamber (catted) or Bassani catted X-pipe...followed with either brand cat-back...i've seen videos/heard clips of a couple of these combinations and have thought they sound great, not too loud of an idle, but on rev it was more like a beast had gotten pissed off and roaring...any input?

Your '04 Cobra is supercharged right?  I am not 100% sure about the superchargers but the turbos don't like chambered mufflers.  They function better with straight flow through designs.  Might keep that in mind when getting mufflers.

On the opinion part, I have always liked the Bassani sound.  Everything I have heard them on sounds great.

On the side note, I will be coming through Gladewater tonight for my daughters end of the year band concert.  Holla

Xpipes always seem to have at least a little raspy to a lot raspy sound to them. H pipes are more mellow toned (kind of old school) I liked the sound I had with my stock coba H better than the off road X I have now ( both with the same flow 40 deltas) but I kind of like my cars image  to be a little understated.  'vamp'
