We bought this car as a demo from McGilvray Ford in Athens in August of 1997 with only 8400 miles on it. It is a 97 GT Premium convertible, Autumn Orange Metallic, one of only 1519 total production Autumn Oranges in 1997 only. It has Saddle Tan leather and matching top. It has the 4.6 V8 and the AOD tranny, and it came with the 17" premium wheels and Mach 460 Sound.

This was Jan's car for about 5 years, I wasn't allowed to touch it other than keeping it perfect. When Jan bought her black 02 V6 Mustang I was allowed to drive it, then when we got Chad's Laser Red 98 GT it became officially mine.

There have been many changes, some more than once to get it right...springs, exhaust, wheels, etc. but as it sits now it is almost perfect.

The paint is still all original except the driver door. The interior is still original except for a 98 console with the built in drink holders and some billet dressup. I added a Styling Bar from ABC Exclusive to give it the exotic look.

Outside it sits on 18X9 Polished Cobra R rims with 265-35 tires in front and 285-30s out back. The springs are Steeda Sport Springs with the Bullitt front and rear sway bars. Under the hood are Steeda Underdrive Pulleys, BBK Cold Air Intake, Ford Racing 70mm Throttle Body, Granatelli Motorsports Upper Intake Plenum, Ford Racing Shorty headers, UPR offroad X-pipe, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and 3.5" chrome tailpipes. The AOD transmission was rebuilt at Dunn's in Tyler with a shift kit added for firm shifts. Just added Ford Racing 3:73 Gears!

Oh yeah, besides all the stuff I have taken off and replaced, it has a lot of extra hardware...hundreds of empty Zaino bottles and over 25 show trophies :)

Harold, the 'vert looks great and always does. You have done an incredible job of keeping her perfect. Oh yea, Zaino FTW. :D
