Ford 331 ci. small block engine (all new - never ran). DSS Racing 331 Pro Bullet short block with level 20 CNC block, with threaded freeze plugs, Pro Windage crank support, DSS forged pistons, rods, crank, balanced & built by DSS. 7 qt. oil pan with hi-volume oil pump, Comp Cam Extreme. Energy cam #XE284H-10, with matching hyd. roller lifters, push rods & valve springs, roller timing chain, new timing cover. Assembled with Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads ported & flowed by Pete Kotzur Racing of San Antonio, DSS roller rocker arms, DSS flamed cast aluminum rocker covers, Bassani 1 7/8" ceramic coated step shorties, Ford GT-40 EFI manifold with lower ported to match profile of heads & cam, SFI crank balancer, chrome dip stick. DSS rates short block to 650 HP.
The compression ratio is 9.5 to 1. The expected HP is around 375 HP and the TQ is around 400. These are only estimates since the engine has never been ran or dynode. But the heads, cam and lower intake were designed for a 2200 to 6200 power band. I had originally planned to use a 150 HP shot of nitrous.
